According to the report, before this, the world's most recognized man-made substance with the highest temperature resistance and the most difficult to melt was tantalum hafnium carbide.
In an interview with reporters, Dmitry Moskovsky, director of the Research Center for Structure and Ceramic Nanomaterials of the National University of Science and Technology, said: "In order to obtain new materials, we have adopted a hafnium-carbon-nitrogen triple composite system, through self-diffusion The high-temperature synthesis method has obtained hafnium cyanide, that is, nitrogen-rich hafnium carbide."
According to the report, scientists believe that this new type of high temperature resistant material will be used to manufacture aerospace equipment and special military technology equipment. When an aircraft is flying at hypersonic speed or penetrating the atmosphere, its engine, wing surface, and fairing must withstand a high temperature of more than 2000 degrees Celsius, and it must also be able to withstand the influence of the external environment.
